Our Mission
At Serenity Therapeutic Center Serenity, we are dedicated to providing high-quality mental health services (psychiatry and psychotherapy) to our patients. Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of our community through compassionate care and personalized treatment plans.
Our Team
Dr. Shani Venner is a psychiatrist who specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry. She obtained her medical degree at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, Jamaica; her Doctor of Medicine in Psychiatry at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados; and fellowship (subspecialization) at the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. Dr. Venner also completed a master’s in public health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, in Baltimore, Maryland, United States.
Dr. Venner is passionate about meeting individuals and families where they are mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, and journeying with them to find peace that is independent of external factors. She believes that the power to heal ourselves is within and sometimes we just need support in believing this and finding it.
Our Services
Serenity Therapeutic Center offers psychiatric evaluations, psychiatric medication management, and various psychotherapies including parent management training, trauma-based interventions, and sandtray therapy. Our treatment packages are unique to each individual or family.
